geniwate lives in Adelaide, South Australia. Before working in the online environment she was a print-based and a performance poet. She is currently concentrating on two separate thematics:

1. the individual and his or her sense of place, home, context. explores this theme in relation to the outsider status of a white tourist in post-colonial Vietnam.

2. The nexus between art and technology/science, explored in a recent work (currently featured by Riding the Meridian) and a new project about 'writing the landscape' which experiments with converting Landsat 5 data into interactive 3D images. While continuing to define herself as a poet, geniwate consciously attempts a greater and greater integration of text with other media.
