George Manner graduated from LSU, and he received an MFA from the University of Montana, where he studied with Richard Hugo. Currently, he teaches at Houston Community College. George Manner has published poetry in the Southern Review, Shenandoah, and he was nominated for a Pushcart Prize this year for a poem that appeared in GulfCoast.
